Austin Creek’s Bull Frog Pond Campground

Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods have opened the Austin Creek Bull Frog Pond campground to campers with access to 20 miles of back country hiking trails and amazing vistas from which to watch the sun go down and moon rise.

Camping fees are $25 a night with $8 for extra vehicles (3 max). Maximum number of people per site is 8. Check-in time is 2:00 pm and check out time is Noon. This is a first come, first served campground, although they will take reservations for groups who want to reserve 4 or more campsites together. Dogs are allowed in the campground on leash. They are allowed on paved roads, but NOT trails or service roads. Juveniles (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.

The Bull Frog Pond campground is a sweet spot with fishing (with a license), access to 20 miles of hiking trails, backcountry swimming holes and magnificent views and flora and fauna. The Stewards of the Coast are fostering a family-friendly atmosphere and we ask you to be respectful of your fellow campers and drink responsibly. Quiet time will be between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am. Future plans include campfire programs, special group activities, guided hikes and more.
