Beach fee collection plan rejected by county supervisors

Stephen Gross, Guerneville correspondent for the Press Democrat is reporting that the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors 5-to-0 voted in favor of the Evans/Carrillo resolution to ban the beach fee collection system (the “Iron Rangers”) proposed by the California Department of Parks and Recreation.

According to Gross it’s now up to Governor Brown, Secretary Laird and the State legislature to decide whether to go ahead with the plan to collect fees or to abide by the wishes of the Board of Supervisors.
