Sonoma Coast Wildflowers

THE WILDFLOWER SCOUT: A Simple Guide to Spring in Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Lake, and Nearby Counties in California has some beautiful images of wildflowers that are found along the Sonoma Coast.

The Wildflower Scout writes:

"A partial list of wildflowers I have spotted on Bodega Head include masses of deep purple and blue Iris, Seaside (fleabane) Daisy, Poppy, Yellow Bush Lupine, Sun Cups, Pea, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Forget-me-not, Wild Grapevine, Cream Cups, awesome magenta and blue gray Thistle, Brownie Thistle, Cow Parsnip, Mustard, Star Lily, Nettle, to name a few of the wildflowers found in the State Park alone.

At sea level the harbor and bay offer beach, dune, marshland, and wetland habitats. Bodega Bay is a fabulous place to find wildflowers, birds, whales, fishermen, and beachcombers. Plan to spend the day."
