The Press Democrat is reporting that large crowds are showing up at Spud Point to take a tour of the tall ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain. The article by Martin Espinoza says that large numbers are being turned away because of limited opportunities for dock-side tours.
The message is “GET THERE EARLY IF YOU WANT TO TAKE A TOUR“.
4/7-8: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-on tours. $3 donation per person. No reservation required.
“Nobody anticipated the unprecedented response to the tall ships,” said Deborah Klein, manager of the county-run Spud Point Marina. “We’ve had some really unhappy, disappointed people.”
