Veronica Cartwright Talks About The Birds In “The Birds”

Bodega and Bodega Bay are forever tied to the Hitchcock classic movie "The Birds". Some 10,000 tourists a year come to the Sonoma Coast to visit the locations used in the film. Veronica Cartwright was cast as a young student that was attacked by the birds in the movie.

Veronica A. Cartwright (born 20 April 1949) is an English-born American actress who has worked mainly in American film and television. As a child actress she appeared in supporting roles in The Children's Hour and The Birds. She is perhaps best known for her roles in the science fiction films Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Alien, for which she won a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress.

In this interview she describes what it was like to work with Alfred Hitchcock on the set of The Birds and she talks about some of the behind the scenes work that was done with the real birds in the movie.
