Proposed $8 Parking “on the back burner”

Fifth District Supervisor Efren Carrillo is saying that the proposed $8 parking fee for Sonoma Coast parking has  “been put on the back burner”.

This appears to be the result of the unexpected discovery that California’s Parks department had an undisclosed $54 million available for California parks and the resignation of Ruth Coleman, Director of state parks for the last nine years.

The Press Democrat article "Management of Austin Creek SRA by Stewards put on hold" details what happened.
