are $35.00 per person and can be obtained by calling (707) 876-1804
and leaving a message as to how to contact the caller. </font></p>

The Bodega Bay community will celebrate its 29th Annual Fisherman's
Festival on the weekend of April 6-7, 2002 from 10am to 5pm at
Westside Park in Bodega Bay..
<p>The festival began as a celebration of the opening of the Salmon
fishing season with the annual Blessing of the Fleet. Boats
are decorated and parade out of the harbor on Sunday morning,
gathering outside the jetties where a local clergyman blesses
each boat. A flower wreath is cast upon the waters honoring
the fisherman that have lost their lives performing this dangerous
occupation. </p>
<p>The festival weekend is packed with music, food and entertainment.
A favorite attraction is the wine tasting booth featuring more
than 25 Sonoma County wines. Food booths have something for
every pallet from lamb or oyster barbecue to local fish and
chips, veggie burgers and salads. Live music and entertainers
perform on the band stage all day Saturday and Sunday. Artisans
and vendors from all over California and beyond offer a wide
selection of arts and crafts. A play area for children with
face painting, games, spin painting, free kite lessons and llamas
on parade. Sporting competitions include a golf tournament and
the ever-popular bathtub races. </p>
<p>Thousands of dollars of raffle prizes are drawn on Sunday afternoon.
Proceeds from the Bodega Bay Fisherman's Festival go to many
community services which include schools, college scholarships
and a fund for the needy. The festival is organized and run
by local community volunteers and is sponsored by Bodega Bay
area businesses.</p>
<p>All admissions are a donation to the Bodega Bay Fisherman's
