The Links at Bodega Harbour is a beautiful golf course adventure, just waiting to happen.
This gorgeous Scottish style links course has breathtaking 360-degree ocean views, a fantastic restaurant (The Bluewater Bistro), a full-service snack bar, a stylish pro shop and more!
The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and first opened with the front 9 holes in 1978. In 1987, the back 9 holes were added. Extensive renovations were completed in 2008, where over 96 bunkers were re-constructed, all 18 greens were stripped of the Poa Annua grass and replaced with bentgrass. With an eye towards sustainability, electric golf carts are coming soon.
You may want to bring your binoculars, because local wildlife (deer, bobcats, foxes, and herons, to name a few) abound around the course and migrating whales can frequently be spotted as well. The marsh area surrounding the course is environmentally protected and teems with waterfowl. Golfing, wildlife and whale watching all in one place – how cool is that?
Guests may golf the full 18-hole course starting at 7AM or opt for 9 “Twilight” holes from 1PM on. A putting green, chipping green and practice bunker are also available, as well as a 6-station warmup area. Want a little help with your game? Individual and group instruction (up to 4 people) are available by appointment, as well as clinics for corporate groups of up to 6 people.
There is a LOT of competition for top golf courses in California, because, well, it’s beautiful here, but The Links at Bodega Harbour has previously been rated in the top ten. Reserve your tee time and see what all the excitement is about.
The Links at Bodega Harbour is located at 21301 Heron Drive, Bodega Bay, CA 94923.
