Permit Sonoma is holding a photo contest to highlight the beautiful Sonoma Coast in preparation for publication of the updated draft Sonoma County Local Coastal Plan.

Photo Contest Rules
The photo must be taken in Sonoma County.
Must be a photo that predominantly highlights the coastline, coastal vegetation, coastal communities and landmarks, or wildlife.
Only one submission per person.
The People’s Choice category will be based on the total number of likes within the album the photo is posted.
Photos that include minors (who are identifiable), must include a photo release signed by the parent. Photo Release Form (PDF)
Contest Process
Submissions will be accepted via email at: [email protected]

Note: Submit photos as attachments to the email. Emails must be a maxiumum of 20 MB in size (including attached photos).
All submissions should be submitted with each of the following:
A brief description that includes the location of the photo
The date it was taken
Whether it is a professional or non-professional photo
Photos will be posted in the order received.
Submissions will be narrowed to 15 finalists in the professional and non-professional categories.
Finalist photos will be reviewed by a panel of voters. The panel includes:

Dennis Kohn, Professional Photographer
Lynda Hopkins, Sonoma County Board of Supervisors
Sarah Heyne, Sonoma Coast Chapter Surfrider Foundation
Please refer your fans to the photo contest album on the Permit Sonoma Facebook page so their vote is counted!
All pictures submitted will be eligible for use in the Local Coastal Plan and County outreach materials, but photographers retain all commercial rights to their photos beyond that use.
